Collector Tip
Be realistic about the prices of fishing lures. Lots of books will show unrealistically high, or outdated prices. Lures are worth what someone will pay for them. Condition is extremely important. Yes, there are some lures worth a lot of money. Most lures you find at garage sales, etc are worth on average $5 a piece retail. Just something to keep in mind. Don't get carried away and have fun with the the hobby.

Historical Notes from the 1962 Heddon New Reels Catalog
The 1962 Heddon New Reels Catalog is kind of a unique one off catalog version. It is to my knowledge the only catalog of this size that Heddon produced soley focused on reels. It appears more focused towards dealers but also is more of a marketing piece.
The catalog itself does a great job covering the Scandia Mark II, Scandia Mark IV, Heddon Hertiage line including the Model 30, Model 35, Model 40 and Model 45 reels.
This is a relatively difficult catalog to find.
Below is the complete scanned 1962 Heddon New Reel catalog. Each page is shown in order so collectors and researchers can study the lure models, finishes, and tackle descriptions used by the Heddon company during this period.
Note: The catalog did not have page numbers so we added them in our exhibit.
