The 1965 Lazy Ike fishing lure catalog provides collectors with a detailed look at the lures and fishing tackle offered by the Lazy Ike Corporation.  This is the third in a row of a series where they switched to square 11" x 11" catalogs.  These look great to handle, not so great to ship and especially scan years later.  Packed full of the classics with some new additions.

Lures they made in 1965 are popular with fishermen and collectors yet today.  Vintage fishing lure catalogs like this are important reference materials for identifying lure models, studying finishes and packaging, and researching the history of classic fishing tackle.

This catalog is part of the My Bait Shop Master Catalog Archive Project (MCAP), a growing digital archive of vintage fishing tackle catalogs and historical reference materials for collectors and researchers.

Fish some of these older baits.  Not the mint ones, but the beaters.  You will be amazed how well some of them catch fish!!!

Historical Notes from the 1965 Lazy Ike Catalog

Very very similar to the 1963 and 1964 catalog.  Just a few changes on colors available for certain lures etc.  Another 11"x11" format, the third in a run of these square catalogs.  Not my favorites.  They tend to be found kind of beat up and they are not easy to scan (so my apologies for that).

1963 was the first appearance of the Shark Ike and Bat Ike after the acquisition of the Demon Lure Company.  It still shows as new in 1965 as do some other baits.  Just the company being lazy (no pun intended) or choosing to continue to market them this way.
