Pflueger Skilkast 1953 Reel. This Skilkast dates to the 1940s. All functions work very well and have been oiled/greased, however this reel still has some minor rust, scratches and some marks. Still a beautiful reel that's been fixed up and is ready to be fished or added to your collection.
Complete with a harder to find plastic spool. This one cleaned up beautifully!

The Mechanical Thumber automatically thumbs the spool; adjustable to suit the line and lure used, and to the casting style of the fisherman. The Skilkast is suitable for all fresh water fishing, especially Bass, Pike, Muskallunge, Pickerel and Wall-eyes.
Refurbished:
This reel is refurbished and here's what's all been done to bring this reel back to some of it's former glory: cleaned, rust lightly removed and polished, oiled, greased and lastly tested. All functions of this reel work well; From it's anti backlash drag to the clicker!
Disclaimer: while this has been refurbished, inspected and tested. This is a vintage reel and there's always a chance you'll experience some hiccups. Overall, this reel still work's great. Enjoy fishing this or adding it to your collection!

Canadian Shipping: Canada is easily our second largest customer. We offer some of the most competitive shipping rates to Canada available. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your lures and your shipping choices. We try our absolute best to keep the costs low. If you are looking to combine multiple orders please let us know and we will work with you. Please note, the recipient is responsible for any possible duties, taxes and customs fees.
International shipping (non-Canadian): is calculated at checkout depending on your choice of delivery options. Please note, the recipient is responsible for any possible duties, taxes and customs fees. Because each country is different, and these fees change often, we do not know these fees. Your local post/customs office can give you this information.
PLEASE NOTE: We ship in boxes and hard mailers (for flat items like catalogs). You will never receive a soft sided package from us with hooks sticking out like you see from some sellers online. We professionally pack in boxes all of our lures and make sure they are packed well for their trip to you. When you see that My Bait Shop sticker on the side of the box you will know your lures were packed safely.
TARIFFS AND FEES: Please note our prices do NOT include any tariffs or fees that are due in your country upon receipt. At this time we are not able to accomodate all of these into the pricing. It is the responsibility of the buyer to handle / account for these. In the future we may add these into the international pricing calculations if there are systematic ways to do this and they don't change constantly. Thank you for understanding.
