Historical Notes from the 1969 Atlantic Lures Catalog
This is one of my favorite miscellaneous companies and one of my favorite catalogs. Atlantic Lures made a successful company out of copying everyone else. They found a successful lure on the market and made one just like it and just changed the name. The famous Bomber became the Baron, Mepps spinners became Metts, Rapalas were Raposa, and my favorite Jitterbugs became Frantic Antics. There are so many more, the entire catalog is filled with them. Did they sell? Heck yeah. Vintage tackle boxes are full of these and they are so often misidentified. When you do identify them they tend to be fairly collectible in their own rights. They made super colorful and great baits.
This catalog is tough to find, as are all of their catalogs and is packed with colorful images to help you start to identify these awesome baits and give them some love. Start a collection of Plunger Pups next time you see some.
Below is the complete scanned 1969 Atlantic Lures fishing lure catalog. Each page is shown in order so collectors and researchers can study the lure models, finishes, and tackle descriptions used by the Atlantic Lure Company during this period.
NOTE: Printed catalog did not include the covers in their page numbers so our numbers do not match.
