Welcome to myBaitShop.com

Hi, I hope everyone enjoys this site and message board and that it can provide a forum for good posts, friendship, and diverse points of view. Just one note: although this is a message board, this is not a free forum for slamming other members, degrading other individuals, their wares or anything about them. I think there is enough informational gaps and generation gaps in our hobby already. We need to all learn from each other and get along. Any messages I deem offensive or inappropriate will be removed by me with no second thoughts. This point is not open for negotiation. In addition I require that you use your name or nickname you go by and real email address. That said, let's all enjoy this board. Thanks for visiting.

IMPORTANT EBAY NOTE: Some people have asked me to clarify my Ebay position regarding postings to this board. First of all I love Ebay. It is the single greatest collectors resource in the world. It is perfectly fine in my book to have discussions about auctions, fraud, interesting items and so on. I will even allow the occassional "Look at my auction here" post as long as it is sporadic and you are mentioning a fairly rare lure. I will NOT allow general, "see my auctions I have lures" posts. Everybody who collects lures knows where to find them on Ebay and advertising a pikie is not good use of this board. Besides that I'm pretty open on Ebay. Thanks again.

ADVERTISING INFORMATION:
  • MESSAGE BOARD: If you would like to advertise your banner on my board, the cost is $25 (take advantage of our special right now for only $10 a month!!!) per month for a rotating ad. The image size is 200 x 75. If you need help creating a banner, let me know. Email me for additional details.
  • APPRAISALS PAGE: Advertising on the Appraisal page is $20 per month for a listing in the "General Section" and $10 a month per listing in the other sections (example $10 for Heddon, $10 for Creek Chub, etc). I get visitors that come to this site looking for information on their lures. They run hot and cold and you may go awhile (maybe even months) with little to no leads and then have the mother of all leads come in to you. This is a cheap way of advertising to add to your collection and spread the knowledge of our hobby. Some of my best lures have come this way, but I am not actively adding to my collection now (cost of kids:)). I don't want these email leads to go to waste so I am offering them this way as it helps offset the cost of the site. You must reply to all emails you receive. Email me if you are interested. Spots are limited to approximately 5 General and 3 in each specific category.

    Thanks.
