Despite what appears to be a healthy number of striped
bass along our beaches, a recent survey said numbers
and their size are decreasing.
Striped-bass anglers from North Carolina to Maine
reported a significant and continuing decline in the
number of fish caught per hour and the average size of
those fish, according to the sixth annual membership
survey conducted in 2009 by Stripers Forever.
